James Estep's journey is a testament to service and dedication. Beginning his career as a firefighter in 1996, James developed a passion for financial planning through his involvement with his pension plan. Transitioning into a financial advisor, he focuses on serving First Responders such as firefighters and police officers in Florida, leveraging his expertise in Defined Benefit plans to offer unparalleled guidance.

As a retired Battalion Chief with the Miramar Fire Department and Trustee on the pension fund for Miramar Firefighters, James remains deeply committed to his community. In 2010, he co-founded an independent firm, prioritizing conflict-free advice and client trust.

James's commitment to excellence led him to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2012, further solidifying his dedication to his clients' financial well-being. His unique perspective as a firefighter and financial advisor sets him apart in the industry, ensuring clients receive personalized, trustworthy guidance.

Leo is one of the co-founders of Everest Financial Advisors and has seen it grow into the premier financial advisory firm for Florida first responders that it is today. As someone dedicated to the betterment of others, clients value his intellect, analytical skills, and ability to simplify complex financial concepts.

After 28 years of service with the City of Miramar Fire Department Leo retired in 2023 as a Battalion Chief. During his tenure there, he attained his Bachelors in Public Administration, went onto complete his coursework and attain his designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and served as trustee to the Miramar Firefighters Pension Fund since 1997. A role he still fulfills today.

Remaining committed to his life of public service, Leo draws parallels between his fire service risk analysis and helping clients explore all their financial possibilities. He remains committed to aiding those who serve others, and ensuring they enjoy a well-deserved retirement. On a personal level, Leo is a proud husband and father to a beautiful daughter and chocolate lab. In his free time, Leo enjoys traveling, cooking, sports.
